Dr. Amrita Nighojkar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Technology Management at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune, India. She obtained her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Jodhpur (PhD), M.Tech from IIT Roorkee & B.E from JEC Jabalpur. Her teaching areas include- R&D and Innovation Management, Applied Statistics for Management and Artificial Intelligence for Managers.
Dr. Nighojkar’s research work implements artificial intelligence and data analytics to address sustainability issues in engineering, management, environment, entrepreneurship and education domains. Apart from analytical and laboratory research, Dr. Nighojkar is inclined towards bringing sustainable transformations in society by developing products that enhance local communities’ lives. Dr. Amrita has also been part of the RuTag Project (Rural Technology Action Group, IIT Delhi) where they developed Porous Vessels for Subsurface Irrigation.
Dr. Nighojkar believes in research that fosters collaboration between researchers, institutes & even across diverse disciplines. Some of the multidisciplinary works she has been involved in got published in reputed publishing houses like – Nature, Applies Physics Reviews, Royal Society of Chemistry, and Springer.
